Why locals love it
Nieuwendammerdijk and Schellingwouderdijk are streets in the neighborhood 'Noord'. They were built as dikes and among the first streets of Noord to be inhabited. For some locals, living on these streets is like living in paradise. Detached old houses with space to have kids. Outside the crowded city, but still minutes away.

Why you should visit it
Noord is skipped in almost all tourist maps. Yes, there are not many tourists attractions, but that's just what we want, right? The streets are built on a dike, which gives most of the houses a great view or at least a heavenly place for a summer picnic. Biking through this street will show you how great neighbors can live together.
Special tip
A nice bike route of one hour is added to the pictures here. It takes you through Noord, via the bridge back to Oost and the centre. Have fun.
