The two beaches, Barceloneta and San Sebastia, are some of the city's oldest and most beloved. For a long time, this was designated a nude beach, as the beach was something out of the way. That changed when the W Hotel opened. Yes, that huge building that looks like a sail.

The decision to move the nudists to Mar Bella caused some controversy, and you'll still find defiant locals strutting their stuff to protest the move. Amazingly, this beach can actually be fairly quiet, which belies it's very central location. Go hang out for a few hours, before finding a nice place to lunch in the 'Neta proper.
