While technically speaking not in Dublin (it is in neighboring Co. Meath) it is on Dublin's doorstep. Four Knocks is little known publicly so is virtually deserted compared to the more famous Boyne Valley passage tombs nearby. The burial chamber is also larger and heavily decorated with prehistoric artwork.

Visit this Neolithic passage tomb in private for a very intimate and peaceful experience. Remember it is a sacred site so respect should be shown to its history. You will need to get the key from a local house (and leave a refundable deposit) to gain entry to the tomb.
You'll need access to a car to get here but it is a far more private experience than visiting the crowded Newgrange or Knowth passage tombs.
