The best way to enjoy the frosty Finnish weather is to go ice skating. ‘Kallio Ice Rink’ is the most traditional place to do this is. It's not always open to the public, so check the timetable in advance. There are two sides, a side for ice hockey and a side for skating without the puck.
This is less touristy and bigger than the ice rink that we have next to the railway station. They rent out skates in the café, so just go and ask. If the rink is taken, you can watch some Finnish bandy instead which is not bad at all.
