The former house of the Helsinki University student union, this beautiful, neo-renaissance building - Vanha for short - is about as central as you could get. Drop by to enjoy a drink, a good meal or snack, and to soak up the atmosphere inside or on the terrace.

Funnily enough, despite being an icon of institutional studentiness, it generally doesn’t feel that studenty at all, perhaps because it’s so dead-centre than it attracts all sorts of city-goers.
The name means "old".
