This place is relatively unknown, even amongst locals. Zülfaris Synagogue dates back to 1671, but was closed in 1985 due to lack of community support. These days it functions as a Jewish museum.

Why you should visit it

Come here to learn about the history and life of the Sephardi Jews who, in 1492, were expelled from Spain by Queen Isabella and King Ferdinand, and welcomed into Ottoman Empire territories by Sultan Bayezid II.
