With superb lighting and sound design, Nardis is the leading modern jazz club in Istanbul. New artists play here regularly, and each month the programme features at least one international band. In the past it has hosted big names like Wynton Marsalis, Benny Golson and Ibrahim Ferrer.

Why you should visit it
Head to this beautiful brick building for some jazz and drinks after visiting Istanbul’s historic Karaköy district. The club is owned by Önder Focan (a local jazz guitarist) and his wife Zuhal Focan (the editor of a Turkish jazz magazine), so great music is pretty much guaranteed.
Special tip
It’s wise to buy tickets in advance as the club has just 120 seats.
