Just a short walk north of Camden Town lies one of London's largest and most rustic parks. Unlike the city's other manicured green offerings, Hampstead Heath is rugged and natural, containing some of the oldest woodlands you'll find this close to London, along with with ponds, creeks, rolling hills and natural wildlife.

This place is huge, and you could spend hours exploring the many trails. Grab a couple of drinks and take a walk up Parliament Hill, one of the highest points in London. Here you'll find the best view of London's entire city skyline. Summertime sees hundreds of young locals on 'the Heath' sunbathing, drinking cider and swimming in the ponds.
For the runners out there, this is one of the best spots in London to get some serious kilometres done, and you'll take in some amazing scenery.
