Though this ancient Egyptian temple is a popular tourist attraction, which contains an interesting museum, many locals come up here just to relax or to enjoy a picnic. Whether it's to find a little shade under the trees in the park, or to enjoy the stunning sight of the lit up temple at night.

This is a good place to find peace between exploring the busy streets and Plaza de España nearby. This original temple was a gift from the Egyptian state in 1968, after Spain helped Egypt preserve and save other temples along the Nile. From here you have a beautiful view to the Royal Palace, and it's one of the best places to watch the sunset.
During the summer many sellers will be around to offer you cold drinks, but it's probably cheaper if you bring your own from a local store.
