About Paris

The City of Light has a lot to offer. This can be frustrating for travellers who stay only a few days, especially as it’s such a diverse city. Don’t panic though – many Parisians have visited the Louvre three or four times and still haven’t seen all the collections! The first thing you should know when planning a trip to Paris is that unless you live here, you can’t see everything. From gastronomy, art and concerts to exhibitions, sporting events, parks and shopping – this city has something to satisfy all desires! During the months of July and August the city can seem a little bit emptier than usual. It’s the longest holiday period in France when many Parisians choose to travel. Summer also brings the hottest weather of the year with temperatures sometimes exceeding 35 °C. May and June are good months to visit as the weather isn’t so hot.
