This is almost the only wild beach close to the city. It's just wonderful. A true paradise in Rio. And the best surf spot ever. There is some bars with finger food and drinks in a very laid-back vibe. This is the beach where Jack Johnson goes when he is in Rio, and a lot of famous surfers as well.

Why you should visit it
It's just breathtaking. A paradisiac beach that can be easily reached by car. The path to get into it is wonderful too. You can go by car or by surf bus (http://www.surfbus.com.br) and walk a little bit. If you're looking for a empty, wonderful and less explored beach in Rio, this is your place.
Special tip
Try to go on weekdays and have a beach pretty much just for yourself. Go with cash, there is no credit card machines here.
