Having existed in the same location since 1908, Kvarnen’s long history is echoed in its walls, décor, floor and the hum of its diverse clientele. With generous opening hours (note that 3 am is late by Swedish standards), it’s appreciated by local partygoers for whom the night is still young.
If you’re a large group looking for a rollicking night out at one of Stockholm’s oldest boozers, look no further than Kvarnen. It's worthwhile knowing that it was mentioned in Stieg Larsson's “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”, so if you want to avoid the tourist masses, you might want to avoid dining here.
There’s a lively nightclub in the basement.
