This modernist glass building right next to the National Theater seems to many people like a "punch in the eye" and by the time of its construction in 1983 it caused quite a controversy. It is home of special kind of show called Laterna Magica, which combines dance and film and it is actually an invention of one Czech director.

Shows of Laterna Magica are quite interesting experience and for more it is without language barrier. But today New Stage is part of National Theater, so there are also performances of ballet, modern dance or modern drama. They also organize concerts and other interactive events.
