During your walking tour of the cosy winter laden Old Town, you will learn about where the custom of placing advent candelabras in the window comes from, what is found on a traditional Swedish julbord, who the bearer of light is and what Swedish Santa Claus looks like. In other words - what Christmas in Stockholm is all about, and how the Swedes awaken their Christmas spirit. No Christmas walking tour would be complete without a stop to a local Christmas market, and it just so happens that the main square in the Old Town, Stortorget, has their very own (which we recommend to return to after the tour). When the wintry breeze of Jack Frost’s breath hits your skin, we’ll make a stop inside, treating you to a taste of non-alcoholic glögg, or mulled wine, which will make you all warm and fuzzy inside again.
