About Bergen

Bergen is the city between the mountains on the rainy west coast of Norway. Founded in 1070 by king Olav Kyrre, it was for a long time the capital of Norway, and an important city in the Hanseatic league. Today, the city is a medieval town with narrow cobblestone streets, old wooden houses and a small, but thriving centre, where you can find all kinds of cafés, shops, resturants and sights. One of the most rainy cities in Europe, but all the more pleasant when the sun is shining.
