This park is the garden of the French Senate. Here you’ll find 23 hectares of nature right in the city centre. Wishing to recreate the places of her childhood in Italy, her native country, Queen Marie de Medici ordered its construction in 1611. Don't miss the Orangery with its 300-year-old orange trees.

The best thing to do here is to do as the Parisians do and sit down with a book, or chat with friends and passers by. Otherwise you can walk around and admire the sculptures, fountains, themed gardens and central pool, and get lost on the less frequented paths. There are plenty of playgrounds and activities for children.
Opening hours depend on the season. During the warmer months it stays open later – in summer it can stay open until 9 pm.
