Sabahar is a social enterprise in Addis Ababa producing beautiful handmade textiles from Ethiopian cotton and locally reared silk, using traditional hand-spinning and hand-weaving techniques. It provides fair, sustainable employment to a largely female workforce and supports local silk farmers, dyeing its scarves, blankets and homeware with natural colours. Visitors can tour the workshop to see the whole process and buy directly, making it a rewarding stop that combines craftsmanship with genuine social impact.
