Rising above Kilpisjarvi to more than 1000 metres, Saana is one of Finlands most iconic fells, a dramatic flat-topped mountain revered in Sami culture and beloved by hikers. A marked trail climbs to the summit for sweeping views over the lakes and fells where Finland, Sweden and Norway meet. In winter its snow-covered slopes glow beneath the aurora, and in summer its arctic-alpine plants draw nature lovers to this striking wilderness landmark.
