One of Finlands most popular national parks, Pallas-Yllastunturi stretches south from Hetta across a chain of rounded fells famed for having some of the cleanest air in the world. Its network of trails, including the classic Hetta-to-Pallas route, crosses open tundra, forests and mires rich in wildlife. A haven for hiking, skiing and aurora watching, the park protects a magnificent swathe of Lappish wilderness on the doorstep of Enontekio.
