Hotel Torbrau

Hotel Torbrau

Hotel Torbrau occupies a corner site beside the Isartor, the surviving medieval gate at the eastern edge of Munich’s old town. The house traces its origins to 1490, which makes it the oldest hotel in the city, and it has been run by the Kirchlechner family since 1903. Around 85 rooms are spread through the building, which has been modernised in stages while keeping its historic proportions and street frontage. A bar, a restaurant and a breakfast room occupy the ground floor, and reception is staffed around the clock in several languages. The Isartor S-Bahn station sits a few steps away, with direct connections to the main railway station and the airport, while Marienplatz, the Viktualienmarkt and the Deutsches Museum are all within an easy walk.
