A small brewery on 30th Street, the spine of San Diego's craft beer district, where a dozen or more taprooms sit within about a mile of one another. Fall's aesthetic is punk rather than rustic, with black walls, hardcore posters and loud records, and the beer runs from clean German-style lagers and pilsners to the hop-forward West Coast styles on which the city built its reputation. The tasting room is attached to the brewhouse and opens daily until late. No food is served, so customers commonly bring their own or eat beforehand. The company has since added a second room in South Park and a larger production site in Miramar, but the 30th Street premises remains the original and the most characteristic.
