SeaWorld San Diego occupies a site on Mission Bay, north-west of downtown, and combines marine animal exhibits with rides. General admission covers the aquarium habitats and animal presentations, among them orcas, dolphins, sea lions, penguins, sea turtles and sharks, together with rescue and rehabilitation displays. The ride side of the park includes the Emperor dive coaster, the Electric Eel launch coaster and the Journey to Atlantis water ride, alongside gentler attractions and a play area for younger children. Seasonal events and shows change through the year. Single-day tickets are valid on the chosen date only. Optional upgrades cover all-day dining at participating restaurants, priority queue access and car parking, which is not part of standard admission.
