Talevi is one of only two families licensed to produce the original handmade Ohrid pearl, a local craft made from an emulsion derived from the scales of an endemic lake fish rather than any actual pearl. The business has passed the technique from father to son since the 1920s and carries a 4.8 rating on Google. Staff can explain the process and provide a certificate of authenticity with any purchase.
