Ferhadija Mosque is a 16th-century Ottoman-era mosque on the main pedestrian street, painstakingly rebuilt after being destroyed in the 1990s and now a symbol of Banja Luka's multicultural history. Entry to the courtyard and grounds is free.
Dress modestly and remove your shoes if entering the prayer hall, as with any working mosque.
Local tip: The reconstruction itself is as much the story here as the building, ask locally about its history if you're curious.
