Mewa is a genuine milk bar, the state-subsidised canteen format that survived communism because it still does exactly what it always did: cheap, filling, home-style Polish food with no frills and no menu translation for tourists. Expect pierogi, soups and cutlets at prices well below what a sit-down restaurant would charge, in a plain dining room full of regulars.
