Atlas Shopping Center is Tabriz's largest mall, six floors of clothing, footwear, homeware and a hypermarket wrapped around a bright central atrium. Families come as much for the food court and children's play area on the upper floors as for the shops, and the mechanised car park guides you straight to a free bay rather than the usual scrum outside the older bazaars. It makes a comfortable half-day out when the summer heat or winter cold gets too much.
Local tip: Go up rather than down: the ground floor is the busiest, but the food court and quieter homeware floors near the top are where you get some breathing room.
