Konijänkkä is a small family-run farm at the foot of Ylläs fell in Äkäslompolo, home to around 40 sled dogs and 15 horses, most of them born on the farm itself. It's a working animal farm first, visitor activity second.
Visitors can do horseback riding, horse-drawn sleigh rides and sled dog rides, and get close to the horses, huskies and reindeer that live there.
Local tip: Book ahead in winter – the sleigh rides are popular with families and slots fill fast.
