Matnas Mizrach is the nonprofit community centre that runs East Netanya’s cultural and leisure life on behalf of the municipality, from after-school clubs and summer camps to dance, art and music classes for every age group. It isn’t a polished tourist sight, it’s an everyday communal hub, which is exactly what makes it a genuine window into how Netanya families spend their free time.
Like Israel’s other ‘matnasim’, it operates as an independent association acting as the city’s arm for culture and supplementary education in the neighbourhood.
