The Dora community centre in the Ramat Yadin neighbourhood is one of the busiest of Netanya’s municipal ‘matnasim’ – nonprofit centres that double as the social heart of their neighbourhoods. It runs toddler groups, youth movements, courses and a lively seniors’ club, all as part of the North Netanya Community Centers network.
The seniors’ club here is a good example of how the city weaves older residents into daily community life rather than sidelining them.
Local tip: the centre’s secretariat can point visitors interested in local culture toward open events, especially around Jewish holidays.
