You will find out that “Arab Town” is a market primarily for the locals, where you will not find many tourists, but this is what makes the market so special. You can buy all kind of clothes and also enjoy delicious Mauritian food like the famous “Dhallpuri” and a very special local drink “Alouda” which you should not miss!
It’s a very nice market which is very local and nearly no tourists. People there are very nice and not pushing you to buy anything.
Local tip: Try the Allouda drink, enjoy a Roti and do not forget to shop your gifts there!
