Here’s the short version. This site began years ago with a simple belief: the best way to experience a place isn’t from the back of a tour bus or the top of a “10 things to do” list. It’s the way the people who actually live there do it — the corner spots, the family-run counters, the streets that don’t make the guidebooks. That idea never went out of style. So when the chance came along to give this site a new home, we took it, because it’s the exact thing we’ve built our whole company around.
We’re the team behind Like A Local Tours, a women-owned, award-winning food tour company in New York City. For more than a decade we’ve walked thousands of guests through the neighborhoods we love — the Lower East Side, Chinatown, Little Italy, Chelsea Market, the High Line, and beyond — one great bite and one great story at a time. Supporting the small businesses and community partners who make these neighborhoods what they are has always been at the heart of what we do.
