NOMA holds a strong collection of French, American and African art in a stately Beaux-Arts building at the entrance to City Park. Just outside, the Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden sets more than 90 modern sculptures among lagoons and oaks, and it is free to enter. Pair a paid museum visit with a stroll through the garden.
