Pike Place Market

Pike Place Market with its neon sign and clock in downtown Seattle

Downtown

Opened in 1907, Pike Place is one of the oldest continuously operating public markets in the country and still the heart of downtown Seattle. Beyond the fish-throwing and the original Starbucks crowds, wander the lower levels for tiny record shops, comic stores and family produce stalls. Go early on a weekday to beat the crowds and actually talk to the farmers.

Good to know

85 Pike St · historic public market · open daily, most shops 9am-6pm
