The jewel of Granville Island and one of Vancouver’s great food destinations — a covered public market on the False Creek peninsula packed with around fifty merchants selling fresh produce, seafood, cheese, baked goods, coffee and handmade crafts. Grab something to eat and watch the boats, then explore the island’s galleries, theatres and artisan studios. Open daily 9am–6pm and reachable by the little rainbow-coloured ferries across the creek from downtown.
Book it: a Granville Island Market tour with tastings is the tastiest way to see it.
