Tirana’s green lung — a sprawling 289-hectare park on the south side of the city, built around a large artificial lake created in the 1950s. A roughly 5km path loops the water (about an hour on foot), passing joggers, cyclists, rowers and families, plus playgrounds, cafes, sports areas and the little hilltop Church of Saint Procopius. It’s where locals come to escape the city buzz, exercise or simply sit by the shore — lovely any time, but especially at sunset.
