Catania’s grand main street, running dead straight for nearly 3km from Piazza del Duomo up towards Mount Etna — which looms at the far end on a clear day. It’s the city’s shopping artery, lined with high-street stores, historic caffès, pavement bars and baroque palazzi, and busiest on Saturday afternoons. Great for a browse, a passeggiata and a granita, tying together many of the old town’s main sights along the way.
