Gastown and the Steam Clock

Gastown is where Vancouver began, a handsome district of red-brick Victorian buildings, cobbled streets and the famous steam-powered clock that puffs and whistles on the quarter hour to a crowd of onlookers. It is a lovely area for a wander. Catch the steam clock on the hour, stroll Water Street and Maple Tree Square, and duck into the cafes and galleries between the photo stops.
