Caffe Elena

Vittorio Veneto  •  ★ 4.4  •  $$

A historic cafe and bar on Piazza Vittorio Veneto, open since 1889 and once frequented by the philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche during his time in Turin. Today it draws an evening crowd for vermouth, cocktails and a generous aperitivo spread beneath the arcades of the city’s largest square. The marble-and-wood interior keeps its old character, while the outdoor tables are a fine spot to watch the passeggiata towards the river.
