A three-and-a-half-hour guided walk through central Yerevan, taking in Republic Square, the Cascade complex, the Opera House and the leafy boulevards of the Kentron district. Along the way the tour stops for tastings of Armenian coffee, dried fruit, cheese and other local specialities, giving a feel for the culture as well as the sights. A good-value orientation for a first day, led by a local guide who fills in the city’s Soviet and post-independence history.
