This two-hour guided walk leads through Tallinn’s exceptionally preserved medieval Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A local guide traces the cobbled lanes from the lower town’s Town Hall Square up to Toompea Hill, passing merchant houses, guild halls, the city walls and towers, and the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral. Along the way the guide recounts the Hanseatic trade, Danish and Swedish rule and Estonian independence, making it an excellent first orientation to the city.
