Cabezon

Cabezon is an all-day bar and cafe at Kerameikou 110, in the Kerameikos and Metaxourgeio area of central Athens, roughly eight minutes on foot from Thissio metro station. It occupies a building with a courtyard and garden seating, used through the day for coffee and food and shifting in the evening to drinks, with a programme of live music covering jazz, reggae, dub and electronic sets. The menu is informal and suited to casual eating and drinking rather than a full sit-down meal, and prices are modest by central Athens standards. The crowd is predominantly local rather than visiting. Kerameikos and Metaxourgeio have developed into one of the city's main nightlife districts over the past decade, with bars occupying converted workshops and neoclassical buildings, and Cabezon is among the longer-standing of them. The nearest metro stations are Thissio on the green line and Metaxourgeio on the red line, and the ancient Kerameikos cemetery site is a short walk away.
