History seems like have stopped in this coffee-house with over than..128 years of life! Here you'll meet retired old men, young boys (and some girls rarely) drinking their greek coffee or perhaps a coke and playing or watching chess. Every table has got a chess set ready for a blitz. Locals usually argue over a game-as Greeks do for about anything!
Walls are full of photos with famous chess players, the owner's village, his favourite team, old coffee-houses ("kafenia" in greek) etc. Regulars are there almost all day long (and they sure will advice you about your next move on board) and is a good opportunity to meet locals, especially if you can start a game avoiding the classical e2 opening..
You could ask Yiannis, the owner, to serve you some "meze" (greek food in small portions-tidbits). Extra tip: Karpov has played chess here in 1992!
