Why locals love it

Hirschi (as it is know by locals) is a combination of restaurant, bar and concert place. Most of the people are liberal and they come from all age categories. Food is available for some hours over noon, as well as in the evening. It's one of the oldest bars in Basel which has this kind of audience.

Why you should visit it

Breakfast can be enjoyed as well, even a vegan version is available. A part of the restaurant is separated for smokers. The concerts take place in the basement of the building. Quite often there are concerts which are dedicated to political events. In general there will always be a person who is willing to talk to you about politics.
