Why locals love it
Bedford is known a little Italy due to about 20% of the population having Italian roots. Nothing grand or fine dining here. Just huge hand made pizzas made by the same chef for the last 30+ years. Stick to the pizza, in my view the pasta dishes aren't to the same standard.
Why you should visit it
Loud, lively and friendly, popular with groups celebrating birthdays etc. Been owned by the same family since the 1980s.
Special tip
After your meal there are 2 excellent local pubs (The Caste and the 3 Cups) within a few yards. End your evening with a drink or two.
