London is a world leader in fashion, bringing its own unique character to the international scene. It offers everything from vintage goods to high-end pieces. Dover Street Market is a paradise for high-end hipsters, offering the more alternative spectrum of luxury labels like Comme des Garçons, Acne and Christopher Kane. Blitz on the other hand is the epicentre of vintage goods. The building used to be a warehouse, but now houses the world’s biggest vintage department store with an amazing selection of products. It was recently voted #9 in Time Out’s list of the 100 best shops in London.

London has a huge live music scene, particularly when it comes to underground electro. If you know where to look, you can find huge international artists playing at intimate venues. Oval Space is a godsend for anyone who’s not into mainstream music, while Plastic People is all about amazing sound in a dark room. It’s really small, so be sure to get there early before it fills up. Corsica Studios is one of those places that’ll keep you entertained all night long with its multiple rooms and sounds. Even if plan A doesn’t fail, Plan B is still a great option for a fun night out.

London’s skyline is dominated by iconic buildings from internationally renowned architects, and lower to the ground you’ll find plenty more architectural gems. The Barbican Complex, home to Europe’s largest arts centre, is a fine example of 1960s architecture with its grand use of scale and brutal approach to design. Every summer (June–October) one world-class architect is selected to create a temporary installation at The Serpentine Pavilion for all passers-by to admire and oftentimes interact with.
