Photo: Wikimedia CommonsThe Kangaroo Point Cliffs are a dramatic run of volcanic rock rising straight from the river, a favourite for climbers, walkers and picnickers with one of the best skyline views in Brisbane. The parkland along the top and bottom is threaded with paths, and abseilers and rock-climbers add to the spectacle at weekends. It is especially striking when the cliffs are floodlit after dark. Walk the riverside path at dusk, then cross the new Kangaroo Point Bridge into the city for dinner.
