First of all, locals love Vatra because of the food. They really respect the traditional recipes, so the food here is well cooked and very tasty. Secondly, it's a quiet place, nicely decorated, away from the city noise... It just feels cozy.

You should visit Vatra if you want to try some really delicious authentic Romanian food in a comfortable environment. The restaurant has all sorts of traditional Romanian decorations and a lovely terrace open in the summer, with traditional folk music and dance. It's a whole Romanian experience!
Vatra has the best ciorba in town. There's also mamaliga, that goes really well with sarmale, Romania's traditional dish, or mici (meatrolls).
