Locals throughout time have adored this hill for it's summit's strategical vantage point. But it's not about the destination, it's about hiking the history of Gellert Hill. Once past the St. Gerard Stature, the hill gives way to the landscape of it's terrain. This is a local treasure giving you the chance to get away from the noise of the city.

The air is cleaner up here plus you're breathing in the hill's energy from centuries ago. This hill was once covered with vineyards in the 18th century and before that it was a common place for pagans. After being thrown off the hillside in a barrel by pagans, St. Gerard's martyrdom is memorialized in a statute. At the top, check out the Citadella!
There are different paths to choose from so you have the choice to lose yourself from others taking their stroll. Find a bench and take it all in.
