This area contains a wealth of historical significance. The square hosts statures (The Millennium Monument, Arpad: Leader of the Magyars, Archangel Gabriel, Statue of the Anonymous) Benedictine churches, (Jak Church) castles (Vajdahunyad Castle) and the famous Szechenyi Baths. The Mucsarnok Art Gallery and the Museum of Fine Arts are here as well.

This is a cultural mecca and a must for a walkabout if you would like to soak up some Hungarian history. Street by street there is something to see or do and there is a nice lake to stroll about. A place to embrace.
