Budapest has a great amount of restaurants providing locals with daily lunch menus. Menza is one of the best in this field. Their food is hearty and decadent, ther a la carte is exiting, bith international and local. As for the service - top notch. I worked in restaurants and bars and am picky about it. They are very personal, no pretense at all.
Why you should visit it
To make sure no one rips you off at a square where it is more than a custom. And because of the great food.
Special tip
If you ask for a table INSIDE during lunch hours (typically between 11.30-14.00), you can get it quicker. Until that they seat you at the bar w snacks
